In this issue we will continue the four lines of ministry that began in the first issue of Ministry Digest (vol. 1, no. 1). The first line—The History of the Lord’s Recovery—contains chapters 9 through 12 of “The History and Revelation of the Lord’s Recovery” in volume 2 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1981. These chapters speak of the pure revelation of the Triune God, the Kuling training and the changing political situation, the Lord’s recovery in Southeast Asia, and the Lord’s testimony in Hong Kong. The second line—Words for New Believers—continues with chapters 4 through 7 of Lessons for New Believers, which are in volume 3 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1959. These chapters speak of the importance of consecration, walking according to the spirit, reading the Bible, and prayer. The third line—Maturing in Life—contains chapters 9 through 12 of The Way for a Christian to Mature in Life, which are in volume 3 of The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1955. These chapters speak of the saved ones receiving the promise of God in full in the New Jerusalem, of the three paradises for three periods of time, of the New Jerusalem being the issue of the union of God, heaven, and man, and of the way that God builds Himself into man. The fourth line—The High Peak of the Divine Revelation— contains Messages 28 through 31 of the Life-study of 1 and 2 Samuel. Although these messages are not included in The Collected Works of Witness Lee, they are included in this issue because they were the basis for Brother Lee’s subsequent speaking concerning the high peak of the divine revelation.
